Authentication Overview

The Grade Entry Portal approaches User Authentication rigorously to ensure only the appropriate people have access to the software.

The initial Registration Process to use the product is discussed in the Initial Registration Process Overview section. Once registration is approved, Users are authenticated as part of the Log-On Process. 

There are two methods of Authentication available;

1. Via an email sent to your registered email address - this method is predominately used for imported Users
2. Via an SMS (text to your mobile phone) - this method is predominately used for Users created in the Grade Entry Portal.

The Logging On with Two-Factor Authentication section covers the Authentication and Logging On procedure in detail. 

Note: Regardless of the method used for User creation, all future log-ons use Two-Factor Authentication, whereby a code is sent to your mobile phone which you then enter on the Portal to gain access.
